Labradorite is a beautiful stone discovered in Labrador, Canada that features a pearly luster with pretty color flashes in blue, green, red, orange, and yellow. The term labradorescence is used to describe the color phenomena found in this intriguing stone which is more often found in unique and custom-designed jewelry rather than mass-merchant jewelry.
This design is a part of my Everyday Gemstones collection which features beautiful gemstone briolettes showcased as pendants. The briolette in this necklace is about an inch long and is wire-wrapped in 14kt gold-filled wire. It is attached to a 14kt gold-filled chain with a spring clasp. The chain is available in 16", 18", and 20" lengths.
